Northgate girls basketball delivers an outstanding season
WALNUT CREEK, Calif. — The Northgate girls’ basketball team has had an outstanding season, culminating in the NCS Division II championship game. They came in second place and qualified for the state playoffs.
Three players were named All League: First Team – Tegan Gaines (Sr), Second Team – Jaley Croy (Sr), Honorable Mention Tade Scheid (Jr). Tegan also eclipsed 1,000 points scored for her career at Northgate.
Under the leadership of Coach Jim Croy, the girls’ team amassed an overall record of 22-7 and came in second place in their league at 9-3. This gave them a berth in the NCS playoffs where they won their first two playoff games earning their place in the Division II Championship game.
