Waterloo West makes history with 3rd straight state-qualifying basketball season
WATERLOO, Iowa — For the first time in school history, the Waterloo West girls basketball program went to state three years in a row. With a 23-2 record heading to state at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, the Lady Wahawks won the first two games to land in the championship where they fell to Johnston to take second place. Congratulations to the Wahawk girls basketball team, their coaches and families for securing 5A State Runner-Up, a third straight MVC Division Championship and third straight state-qualifying season.
