Softball field for Unionville-Chadds Ford SD done in time for home opener

KENNETT SQUARE, Pa. — Earlier this spring before the season’s home opening game, the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District unveiled its new varsity softball field. The public was invited to a ribbon-cutting ceremony where several key participants gave their remarks.

School officials noted that the field is the culmination of a lot of hard work and dedication and marks the beginning of a new and improved future for the softball program, as well as gives the student-athletes and coaches a beautiful home on which to play and compete.

Special thanks were given to the Softball Boosters, to Coach Leah Tymeson, to the Athletics Department, to the Unionville High School Marching Band, and to the grounds crew for getting the field ready for play after two straight days of rain.
