Miners rally to win game one at Quincy, but settle for split with Hawks
QUINCY, Ill. – Missouri S&T used a seventh inning rally to force extra innings in the first game of its Great Lakes Valley Conference doubleheader at Quincy, then pulled out a 5-3 win in 11 innings before having to settle for a split as the Hawks took a 7-1 decision in the nightcap. The Miners came out of the day at 21-21 overall, but were able to draw even in the GLVC standings with Maryville and Rockhurst as all three are now 9-11 in conference play with eight games remaining.
