Woodgrove Wolverines win big over Riverside Rams, 10-2

PURCELLVILLE, Va. — Woodgrove won big defeating Riverside 10-2 on Monday. The Wolverines jumped on the Rams early in the first as an Anni Rohs walk led to one run. The offense continued often for the Wolverines led by Rohs who went 2-4 with a double and homer driving in four.

Abbey Lane was sensational going 3-4 at the plate and scoring two runs. On the mound she collected the win, allowing just two runs on three hits striking out nine.

This was a huge victory for the Wolverines dealing The Rams just their second loss, coming into Monday’s game with a record of 10-1. Kaylie Avvisato took the loss allowing 13 hits and 10 runs striking out five.
