EAGAN, Minn. — The youngest player signed to Minnesota Aurora and the only high schooler from the state on the team is 16-year-old Goalkeeper Bayliss Flynn. Training starts in May and the first game is May 26th. Aurora is a new pre-professional team in the USLW League, and home games will be played at the TCO stadium in Eagan. Thousands of season tickets have already sold. The team has players from all over the country, many of them have completed college soccer careers.

“I’m just beginning to meet my teammates and can’t wait for them to arrive from around the US,” said Bayliss. “The community support and incredible venue. Training and playing with such high caliber players are an amazing opportunity.”

At Edina High School Bayliss earned All State, All Metro and All Conference Honors helping to team to hold a #1 rating in the state the entire season and reached #1 ranking in the nation.  In net, she allowed the fewest goals in the state and set a record with four goalkeeper assists.

Since 9-years-old Flynn has played club soccer at Minnesota Thunder Academy (MTA) traveling nationally in the Elite Club National League (ECNL) the highest level of female youth soccer in the country. Her MTA team also reached #1 in the nation going undefeated in the ECNL in the 2020 season.

Bayliss parents Mary Lahammer and Chad Flynn are so excited and proud of her.

Flynn is committed to play Division 1 soccer at the University in Montana in 2023. She dreams of a successful college career at the University of Montana. “My goal for my team to go to the NCAA Tournament. I hope to return home in the summers and continue to play for Minnesota Aurora in the future!”
