Meet two Jackson softball team members Kachur & Magee
JACKSON, Ohio — Mara Kachur and Megan Magee are 17 years old and are seniors at Jackson High School where they both play softball. One of Mara’s personal goals related to sports is to challenge herself to go outside of her comfort zone. Megan’s goal is to push herself to be the best athlete she can be.
They both love that the friends they have made through playing softball will last a lifetime. When not at practice or in a game, they like to hang out with friends and go out to eat.
Their favorite pregame ritual is to huddle up, sing their alma mater, pray and give a quote to the team.
“Being on the team has taught me that communication and trust within others is essential to being successful,” Mara said.
Megan said the best advice she has received from her coach is, “You are only holding yourself back if you are not putting purpose into the skills you are trying to learn.”
