Pleasant Grove Dolphin Little Bullitt team made history this season

MOUNT WASHINGTON, Ky. — The Pleasant Grove Dolphin Little Bullitt team headed to the National stage in Bradenton, FL, on April 9th. The girls competed in a level 1 traditional rec division where they took home first place. They were also awarded National Traditional Rec Cheer Grand Champions- meaning out of all of the Rec schools that competed. They scored the highest score. The Little Bullitt team is the youngest team in the Greater Bullitt County Youth Football League (GBCYFL) to ever compete at the National level.

This team made up of eight very strong and talented 5–6-year-olds started their season in June of 2021, practicing two times a week at GymTyme South in Shepherdsville. They competed in seven competitions and ended their regular season undefeated. In November, they competed in the All-County Cheer competition against all the other GBCYFL teams, where they not only took home 1st place in a very talented LB division, but they also took home the title of GBCYFL Grand Champions! In January, they earned their spot in the Small Gym Nationals competition by winning their division at The Crown. These accomplishments are just astonishing. These girls have worked extremely hard, and we couldn’t be prouder as they have made Bullitt County history. FINS UP!
