Get to know Mitchell HS softball player Kinnah Kreidler

New Port Richey, Fla. — Mitchell High school junior, Kinnah Kreidler, has been playing softball for nearly a decade. As she anticipates graduation in exactly a year, Kinnah is looking forward to continuing her softball career at the college level. She loves the accomplishments she’s achieved and the friendships she has made while playing, and loves to hang out with those friends outside of softball, especially visiting the beach.

For Kinnah, being part of a team has taught her so much, from how to work together for success, to being supportive of one another during every second of the game.

Being achievements haven’t come without perseverance, however. “I’ve been having trouble with the ‘yips’ and have been concentrating on believing in myself and focusing on other aspects of the game, such as cheering on my team and my pitcher when I am catching, rather than on my throws,” she said. “My biggest challenge is having a negative mindset, or just being in my head all the time.”

Though she has been given an ample amount of advice throughout the years, among the best has been to never let someone tell you that you can’t do something and to always prove them wrong. Her dad once told her, “Leave things in the past and move forward; if you really want it, you work hard 110% and next time go out and prove that you’re the best player on that field.” She is very appreciative of his inspiration.
