Vestavia Hills assists The Exceptional Foundation in first game since pre-pandemic

Courtesy: Robbie Lee

VESTAVIA HILLS, Ala. — Vestavia Hills High School students of the Varsity and Junior Varsity Basketball teams helped The Exceptional Foundation kick off the sixth season of its wildly popular basketball league.

These teens joined forces with adults and young adults from the Exceptional Foundation to form two new teams: the Hawks and the Nuggets.  This was a true back-and-forth game with each team taking the lead multiple times throughout the game with several players from The Exceptional Foundation scoring for the first time in their basketball careers!

We appreciate Vestavia Hills High School’s Coach Patrick Davis and Assistant Coach Ryan Binkley who supported this game and who support our league in general.  This is our first game since the COVID break and everyone was thrilled to be back in action.
