CALEDONIA, Mich. – Both Davenport and Quincy ended today’s Midwest Regional #1 final with identical 36-23 records, but the Hawks found a way to advance to the Super Regional round with a 9-7 win over the top-seeded Panthers. The fourth-seeded Hawks had the clutch plays and got timely pitching when they needed it the most. Davenport left 16 runners on base and struck out 15 times which were both season highs.
