Abberton’s All-America Effort Ends Eventful Championships For ’Cats
ALLENDALE, Michigan—Rory Abberton had the speed to make it into Saturday’s 1,500-meter finals at the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. He had the smarts, and hops, to break into the top eight and earn First Team All-America honors. Abberton ran a tremendous tactical race, tucking into a spot along the rail from the start and staying calm, cool, and collected, even when three athletes went down all around him during a frenzied final lap.
