Dothan area soccer players who made Dothan Eagle’s Super 12
DOTHAN, Ala. — The Dothan Eagle recently named the Boys and Girls Soccer Super 12 players from the area. The Boys Coach of the Year was Joe Nelson from Dothan High School. The DHS Wolves came up one game short of making it to the Class 7A semifinal round. Their overall record was 15-4-1.
Several students from schools in Dothan made the Super 12. Providence Christian’s Luke Fripp was named Player of the Year. Dothan High’s Mason Roe, Ty Powell, and Wesley Farmer earned a spot. Two other Providence players, Davis Bolton and Nathan Nicholls made the 12. Liam Stjernstrom and Lucius Renshaw from Houston Academy were the other Dothan students who were chosen.
The girls Super 12 included Presley Kinney from Northside Methodist who was also the Player of the Year. Maci Caldwell from Houston Academy, and Avery Dean, Olivia Bruner, and Morgan Bienvenu from Providence Christian were among the players named. Three Dothan High players were honored as well and included Caroline Ezzell, Anika Kindred, and Lauren Yu. Congratulations to the Super 12 players!
