Fredericksburg grad Kallyn Snedecor competing to be rodeo’s triple threat

She currently is competing at the Texas High School Rodeo Championships being held in Abilene, Texas. Kallyn will be competing in Pole Bending, Breakaway Roping and Barrel Racing.

Texas has 10 divisions in its statewide rodeo program. Each division sends its best 10 competitors for each discipline. Kallyn, qualified and competing in all 3 of her events, will be facing nearly 300 of her toughest competitors to determine the best of the best. The Abilene rodeo is a week-long event.
Kallyn’s parents, Scott and Kelli, and her brother Colton, live in Fredericksburg.

Rodeo is not new to the Snedecor family. Kallyn’s father, Scott, is a 4-time Professional Cowboy Rodeo Association (PCRA) Steer Roping Champion, and is currently second in the PCRA standings. Scott is Kallyn’s coach.
