Strathroy hockey player Easton Cowan finishes first season with London Knights

LONDON, Ontario. — Strathroy hockey fans who love to root for the “hometown kid who makes it big” needed only travel the short distance to downtown London this past season, to watch 2021 OHL draftee Easton Cowan represent our community in his inaugural season as a member of the London Knights. In May, Cowan celebrated his 17th birthday, but in January 2022 achieved what many would consider an even more important milestone – he scored his first OHL goal in a home game versus Guelph.

Cowan’s 2021/22 season involved seven regular and five post-season games wearing #7 for the Knights. In addition to his one goal, Cowan made the most of his ice time by contributing one assist prior to the playoffs, and two in the post-season. He also contributed 34 points this past season as a member of the Komoka Kings of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League.

All of Strathroy is looking forward to watching Easton Cowan continue to shine in the hockey world! Congratulations Easton!
