Hoover softball’s State Final Four team wracks up Federal League awards

NORTH CANTON, Ohio. — The Hoover Softball team had an amazing run to the state Final Four last month which included a big District Championship win over Jackson, followed by a regional semi-final win over Walsh Jesuit, and finally, a hard-fought Regional Championship win against Austintown Fitch at Youngstown State University.

The team jumped to a 5-1 lead in the state semifinal game in Akron, but Lakota West’s solid hitting proved too much in the end.
