A.J. Tisdell joins Badgers’ 2023 recruiting class

MADISON, Wis. (BVM) — On June 16, Texas football prospect A.J. Tisdell officially announced his commitment to the University of Wisconsin to continue his football career. As part of the Class of 2023, Tisdell will now look to help College Station High School capture a state title in his senior season.

At the time of his commitment, Tisdell was the Badgers’ ninth prospect from the Class of 2023 to give his commitment.

Tisdell was mulling offers from other DI colleges in Baylor, Kansas State, SMU, Texas Tech and others. But it only took one official visit for Tisdell to make his final decision.

According to Rivals, Tisdell is a three-star recruit and is ranked as the No. 84 overall recruit. Tisdell will aim to improve upon his impressive junior season, where he had 48 tackles, 10 pass breakups and one interception. He also helped lead the Cougars to the Class 5A state title game, where the squad would lose their first game of the season, resulting in an overall record of 15-1.

However, Tisdell is more than just a threat on the defensive side of the ball. He has lined up at the wide receiver position and poses a threat on both sides of the ball.

Tisdell has proved to be one of the Badgers’ top recruits of the future. However, he’ll have more to build upon as his career progresses. But Badger fans better believe Tisdell will put in the work to prove he belongs there and bring a Big 10 championship back to Madison.
