Brookfield baseball team finishes with best record in school history
BROOKFIELD, Conn. — Once again our focus highlights a Spring team that had an exceptional season and fared well in the CIAC state tournament. The Brookfield High School baseball team finished the regular season at 18-2, the best record and most wins in a season in school history! After shutting out Farmington 10-0 in the state tournament, the team was eliminated in the second round by East Lyme.
According to Coach Matt Hart, “the team is built on hard work, discipline, and the eagerness for success.” The record setting team was led by a healthy group of seniors – Matt Guilbeault (2022 All Division), Kyle Rosa, Gabe Silva (2022 All Conference; 2022 All State), Frankie Gregus, Connor Chnowski, including the two captains Jake Miceli (2021 All Conference; 2022 All Division) and Drew Martin (2021 All-State). Jr. Casey Katz also earned 2022 All Conference, while Fr. Matt McDowell earned 2022 All Division, and Jr. Tanner Wall received Honorable Mention. This group created countless memories and continued to build on the new wave of Brookfield Baseball.
We congratulate Coach Hart and his team for their record setting season!
