Milwaukee Bucks unveil new ‘Fear the Deer’ Statement jersey
MILWAUKEE (BVM) – The Milwaukee Bucks have unveiled a handful of new jerseys over the course of the last few seasons, and after an announcement today, they’ll have a new “Fear the Deer” Statement Edition jersey from Nike waiting for them at the tip-off of the upcoming 2022-23 campaign.

For their third iteration of the “Fear The Deer” series that first launched in 2015, the Bucks continued to use their black colorway for their alternate option. Milwaukee opted against the addition of the team’s deer head logo that was featured on the last two uniforms, and went with a version of its 2020-21 green with deer antlers Earned Edition jerseys.
The blue trim around the neck and arms has been a prominent feature in all three concepts of the Nike Statement Edition and was used prominently during the team’s blue 2020-21 City Edition jersey. The Bucks explained then that the blue colorway signified the three rivers that run through Milwaukee and Lake Michigan.
The 2020-21 Statement Edition jersey holds a special place in Bucks lore after the team overcame its 50-year title drought sporting them during Game 6 of the 2021 NBA Finals against the Phoenix Suns. That jersey will no longer be in rotation for future seasons, but will always be a part of the team’s championship highlights for years to come.
The inspiration of the newest jersey also came from the green Earned Edition which the Bucks featured in Game 3 of the same series.
Milwaukee became the most recent team to unveil a new jersey after both the Detroit Pistons and San Antonio Spurs revealed updated Nike uniforms for their “Classic” and “Statement” editions.
The Bucks will also wear a new Classic Edition and City Edition uniform this season, which will both be unveiled by the team later this year. If leaked images from February are correct, those jerseys will be purple and blue respectively.
