Top 10 District of Columbia HS football players in Class of 2023
10. Ian Wall, LB, Wilson/Jackson-Reed High School
Wall hasn’t been playing football for long, joining the Wilson Tigers over the pandemic and only playing last season. Although inexperienced, Wall has proven he belongs as the 6-foot-4, 220-pound athlete used his extensive soccer background to excel with quick feet at linebacker and a strong leg as both a punter and kicker. With 78 tackles, a forced fumble and an interception, Wall impressed enough to earn All-Met honorable mention from the Washington Post and first–team all-state honors from the DC State Athletic Association. Though he hasn’t made a collegiate decision yet, Wall holds numerous offers from FCS programs including Cornell, Davidson, Georgetown and Lafayette while also getting attention from Army, Boston College, Duke, Harvard, James Madison and Penn.
