Top 10 Virginia HS football players in Class of 2023
8. Kamren Robinson, LB, Essex
Kameron Robinson won’t go far at the next level as he is committed to in-state University of Virginia. Last season for Essex, Robinson recorded 39 catches for 1,014 yards and 11 receiving touchdowns while also rushing the ball 30 times for 170 yards and two scores. Defensively, Robinson recorded 89 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, four sacks, two fumble recoveries, a forced fumble, a blocked PAT and returned a fumble for a touchdown. These numbers helped Robinson earn first–team all-state at wide receiver and second–team all-state linebacker from the Virginia High School League and was named the VHSL Region A Offensive Player of the Year. While the Essex star played both ways for the Trojans, he’s expected to stick on the defensive side of the ball at the next level as a linebacker for the Cavaliers.
