NFL Players Choir sacked on ‘America’s Got Talent’
PASADENA, Calif. (BVM) – Current and former NFL players were on Season 17 of “America’s Got Talent.” The Players Choir, whose members can be found listed here, sang for America’s vote for the first time during the Aug. 9 live show.
The Players Choir was eliminated during the live results show (aired Aug. 10). Only two acts from the night continue to the next round (11 new acts perform each week for five weeks and only two make it through each week). The choir did make it as one of the top five acts of the episode. This marks the end of the Players Choir’s journey for the prize of $1 million dollars and a Las Vegas show.
The first time they appeared on screen was during their pre-taped audition when they sang “Lean on Me,” which already has a million views on YouTube. The Players Choir’s second and final performance on the show was a live rendition of “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” which can be viewed below.

The group got a stamp of approval from Simon Cowell who is known for lifting music groups into stardom as he did with One Direction and Fifth Harmony.
“Only on ‘America’s Got Talent’ do you get to see football stars dancing and singing,” judge Heidi Klum said after their live performance. “I think that was a song from the ‘Trolls’ movie, right? It’s the cutest thing you guys do this.”
Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough for America’s vote.
