Meet Alexandria Senior High volleyball player BB Rubin
ALEXANDRIA, La. — Volleyball has made it to Cenla! Over the last few years, most of the local high schools have developed a volleyball program. They first started doing local clinics for middle school-age girls which got them interested.
BB Rubin was hooked after her first clinic and soon joined a travel team made up of girls from all over the area. Joining the Alexandria Senior High varsity volleyball team her freshman year was a dream come true. She is now starting her third year on the team.
Every year the team gets better with practice and experience under Coach P and Coach B. Coach Paris played on the volleyball team at Louisiana College and has since joined the teaching staff at ASH. Coach Byrd played volleyball growing up and her husband is the ASH powerlifting coach so the girls get a double dose of workouts.
