Dothan football defeats Robert E. Lee Generals of Montgomery
DOTHAN, Ala. — The Dothan High School Wolves lined up against the Robert E. Lee Generals of Montgomery last Friday night and earned a 42-19 victory. This marked the first home game at the newly renovated Rip Hewes Stadium under first-year coach Jed Kennedy.
Senior Raymon Blackmon was on fire scoring three rushing touchdowns. Both Octavious Thomas and Caleb Thomas added a touchdown. The other touchdown came when Blackmon fumbled on the 1-yard line, but teammate Braxton Hornsby fell on the ball in the end zone to increase the Wolves lead.
The Wolves defense showed up well throughout the game. Dothan High Sophomore T.K. Knight intercepted two passes to halt two drives by the Generals. Kicker Wesley Farmer was a perfect 6 for 6 in extra points for the Wolves. Dothan is now 2-0 on the season and 1-0 in regional play. They have a road game against Auburn next week.
