Jets Ahmad ‘Sauce’ Gardner partnering with Buffalo Wild Wings
NEW YORK (BVM) – Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner hasn’t played in an NFL game yet, but he has already landed a popular sponsorship that seems like a perfect match. On Monday it was announced that Gardner is partnering with Buffalo Wild Wings to launch a limited-edition signature sauce: the “Sauce Sauce.”

The sauce is said to be a smoky, sweet and spicy barbeque flavor. The “Sauce Sauce” is set to be released nationwide on Aug. 31 and will be available for a limited time.
“I have always known that everything is better with sauce, so who better to develop my own flavor than the sauce experts at Buffalo Wild Wings,” Gardner said. “Nothing says football like wings covered in your favorite sauce. I am excited to launch my own signature ‘Sauce Sauce’ just in time for the season kickoff.”

A classic spot for football fans to watch games as the 2022 NFL season kicks off in just over a week, Buffalo Wild Wings will add to its 26 sauces and seasonings with the new product offer. On Sept. 1, Gardner will meet with fans and sign bottles of his new signature sauce during a “Signed with Sauce” event at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Wayne, New Jersey. Gardner and Buffalo Wild Wings plan to continue their partnership throughout the football season through various programs and events.
In the past, Gardner has explained that he has long held the nickname “Sauce.” Part of it stems from his love of dipping sauces, but it also comes from his smooth moves on the field. Initially given the nickname “A1” as a young player, Gardner eventually changed it to “Sauce.” He has relished the now-popular nickname, showing up at the NFL draft with a chain that featured the name as well as one that featured a sauce bottle.

Meanwhile, Gardner will also be looking to make an impact on the field in his first season in the NFL. In April, the cornerback was selected No. 4 overall by the New York Jets as one of the top defensive players available in this year’s draft class.
Gardner has already looked worthy of the pick with a strong preseason. One of his notable highlights in training camp came during the Jets’ joint practices with the Atlanta Falcons where Gardner made an interception of former college teammate Desmond Ridder.

The Detroit native attended the University of Cincinnati where he had a tremendous three-year career, helping the Bearcats to the College Football Playoff last season while racking up 28 tackles, three sacks and three interceptions as a shutdown corner and consensus first-team All-American.
Gardner will hope to translate his skills over to the pros as the Jets kickoff their season against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 1 p.m. ET on CBS.
