Fifth-year senior placekicker Stamati Damalos was selected in the first edition of the weekly USA South Conference Athletes of the Week honors, earning a nod as the Special Teams Player of the Week after breaking his own school record for longest field goal with a 48-yard make vs. Shorter last Saturday at Ives-Lemel Family Field. Damalos, a native of Tarpon Springs, Florida, accounted for all of the Tornados’ points in a 45-6 loss to NCAA DII Shorter last week. Damalos was two-for-two on field goal attempts, including a 36-yard make and his record-breaking 48-yard effort.
