Hamilton’s Smash Raiders Volleyball U16 Vortex team wins first provincial gold medal

HAMILTON, Ontario — The Hamilton’s Smash Raiders Volleyball U16 Vortex team, coached by Paul Guagliano and Brad Sindrey, won their first provincial gold medal! The majority of the girls on the team have been playing together for almost four years, with Jessica Lavendar and Chloe Golba as the team captains.

When the end of the season was approaching and adrenaline was high, the girls dug deep and left it all on the table. They came together and played as one, like a ballet. The team pulled through at the very end. They were first in their pool on the last day. In the last game, they won the first set, lost the second, and won the third. It was a nail-biter until the very end, but they ultimately came through victorious!
