Get to know Shen HS volleyball and T&F athlete Reagan Ennist
CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. — Reagan Ennist is an accomplished outside hitter on the Shen volleyball team. A sophomore in high school, she has been racking up the accolades from the beginning of her high school career. Currently a NYSPHSAA scholar athlete, she has also been named a 2021 Times Union First Team All-Star for volleyball as a freshman; a 2021 Class AA States All-Tournament player; 2021 Suburban Council All-Stars First Team player; named on the 2022 AVCA Phenom Watchlist; named as an Under Armour Next Volleyball Player of the Week; and has received write-ups by Prepvolleyball.com.
While volleyball is her main sport, Reagan is also a part of the Shen varsity track and field team, competing in the high jump, long jump, and triple jump. She is currently the Section II high jump champion.
When not on the field, Reagan loves to hang out with her friends and family and is always ready for a ride with her sister in the Jeep with the doors and top off. She also volunteers her time with Volley Futures, introducing younger players to the sport of volleyball. The sport has become a passion and she hopes to continue playing at a D1 school after graduation. “I love the intensity of the game,” she says. “The fast pace and the connections made with all of my teammates.” Since she still has a couple of years of high school left, she plans to continue working hard both on the volleyball court and on the track team as well as in school. Her favorite subject is math, and her plan is to pursue a college degree in business while continuing her volleyball career.
