Martin County HS volleyball team shines at home
STUART, Fla. — The sport of volleyball deserves a lot of recognition. It’s fast-paced, grueling, and requires constant communication between team members. You better believe that a successful volleyball team has only attained that status due to the consistency and cohesion of the team.
Martin County’s Varsity team defines what it means to be a success on the court and it was never more evident than during their September 13th home game against Okeechobee High School. With a four-set game against the Brahmans, the Tigers volleyed their way to a 3-1 win.
Setter, Katelyn Bobo, had 35 Assists, 8 Digs, and 4 Aces. Other standouts were Emelia Glover with 12 Kills and 2 Blocks, Libero Caragh Francello with 15 Digs, and Mya Ibrahim with 2 Blocks. Team Captain, Julia Glasco, also had 9 Kills and 3 Blocks, and Grace Lee brought 12 more Kills and 10 Digs.
At the time of this writing, the Varsity team was sitting on an 11-6 record. They were also proudly able to take home the Conch Shell Trophy at the Key West Invitational on September 17.
