Mater Dei, Los Alamitos, Huntington Beach victorious in girls volleyball tournaments

Mater Dei’s girls volleyball team won the Silver Division championship in the Durango Fall Classic in Las Vegas this past weekend. Los Alamitos was the tournament’s Classic Division champion. Mater Dei defeated Mountain View of Orem, Utah, in the Silver Division final 25-20, 25-21. Freshman outside hitter Layli Ostovar was the only Orange County player named to the all-tournament team.
