Top 10 Indiana QBs for 2022 HS football season
1. Danny O’Neil, Jr., Cathedral
O’Neil will likely top this list over the next couple of years as the Cathedral junior holds as much upside as any quarterback in the state. Last year, he led the Fighting Irish to a second consecutive 5A state championship victory over Zionsville, throwing for 2,956 yards, 33 touchdowns and just two interceptions, while also rushing for 305 yards and 10 scores as just a sophomore. O’Neil has lived up to the hype again this year, already throwing for 1,000 yards and 15 touchdowns for a 4-1 Cathedral squad. The 6-foot quarterback holds offers and interests from several Power 5 schools such as Kentucky, Louisville and Indiana, and his recruiting should continue to pick up through the rest of the fall.
