Hannah Tiffany has been known and loved by her coaches and teammates since arriving on campus in the fall of 2020. But because her first cross country campaign was lost to COVID and she redshirted in 2021, few Chico State women’s cross country fans had been introduced to the product of Nevada Union High School in Grass Valley. Saturday, Tiffany made quite a first impression on the Chico State faithful, finishing fifth at the season-opening Cougar Challenge in San Marcos and leading the 17th-ranked Wildcats to a runner-up team finish.
