BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C. – CIU men’s looked to claim fourth straight conference wins on the road against Montreat (N.C.). CIU entered the matchup 4-1-2 over and 3-0-1 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC), while the Cavaliers held a 3-5 record on the year and a 2-3 mark in the AAC. After trailing, 1-0 after the first period, CIU rattled off three goals in the second to defeat the Cavaliers on their home turf, 3-2. With the win, CIU sits firmly atop the standings as they continue through the always-tough AAC.
