Oshawa, Ont., – The Oshawa Generals announce they have acquired forward Ty Petrou from the Flint Firebirds in exchange for a 7th Round Pick in 2023. Petrou, standing at 5’11, registered three goals and 9 assists in 43 games on a deep Firebirds team that made it to the Western Conference final during the 2021-2022 season. The Firebirds selected him 72nd overall in the 4th round of the 2020 OHL Priority Selection. He joins an ’04 draft class of Blake Smith, Ryan O’Dell, Luke Torrance, and Dylan Roobroeck.
