BRUNSWICK, Maine – Junior Henry Bilicic (Del Mar, Calif.) won his first two matches in the “A” Singles draw to advance to the third round of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Men’s Tennis Division III New England Regional Championships at Bowdoin College this afternoon. Bilicic opened the tournament with a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Western New England’s Nicholas Bayer. In the second round, Bilicic outlasted No. 9-seeded Rob Ward, of Middlebury, dropping the first set on a tiebreaker, 7-6 (8-6) but winning the next two sets, 6-4, 6-3.
