Meet Hamilton Tiger-Cats football player Coulter Woodmansey
HAMILTON, Ontario — The day Coulter Woodmansey received word that he was being drafted by the Hamilton Tiger-cats, was one of the happiest days of my life. My husband had passed away in 2010 and would not be with us for this celebration. Poppa had been the team doctor for the Toronto Argonauts for twenty-five years. He played football as a student while at U of T.

Coulter told me to make myself a cup of tea and sit back and relax. He said,”if I get called up, it will be well into the draft–probably several hours!” I had just sat down with my tea, when they called Coulter’s name DRAFT 1, PICK 5! I was so excited I spilled my tea all over me!
Coulter began playing football for the Junior Argonauts, then Northern Secondary and finally the Guelph Gryphons. While at Guelph University, he was on a full scholarship, studying Real Estate and Housing at Lang School of Business. He graduated with honours. GO TIGER-CATS!
