Jamal Crawford, Jason Terry among Seattle’s top 10 NBA players
9. Spencer Hawes, F, Seattle Prep
Like Webster, Hawes’ NBA career didn’t quite live up to expectations, but he was still solid in the league for many years. Hawes was a teammate of Webster at Seattle Prep where he won a state championship, was a McDonald’s All-American and was named Gatorade Washington Boys Basketball Player of the Year in 2006. Like many on this list, the 7-foot-1 big man went on to play college basketball at the University of Washington where he made the Pac-10 All-Freshman team in 2006-07 as he averaged 14.9 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game. After one season in college, Hawes was selected 10th overall by the Sacramento Kings in the 2007 NBA Draft. He saw sparing action as a rookie, but put up respectable numbers in his two remaining seasons in Sacramento, averaging 10.7 points and 6.6 rebounds. Hawes was dealt to Philly in 2010 where he had some of his most memorable seasons, including a career year in 2013-14 where he averaged 13 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.3 blocks, playing first with the Sixers and later with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Hawes would go on to play with the Clippers and Hornets before finishing his NBA career with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2016-17.
