Franklin being paid less than Ryan Day makes sense, the small amount separating the two may not. During his nine years at Penn State, Franklin has kept the Nittany Lions relevant nationally with a 72-34 record and multiple New Year’s Six bowl appearances. However, with just one Big Ten title and no CFP appearances, his salary is surprising especially considering who’s directly above and below him.
