Clearview HS girls tennis team makes school history
MULLICA HILL, N.J. — For the first time in school history, all seven Varsity players on the Clearview Girls’ Tennis Team advanced to the semifinals of the Gloucester County Open. It is the second time in the history of the tournament that this has occurred.
“This year has been super exciting for us,” says Clearview Girls Head Tennis Coach, Colleen Senor. “Our varsity lineup is extremely special.” That lineup includes Sarah Crawford, who began her freshman year as second singles and has transitioned smoothly to first singles as a sophomore. Emily Miscioscia and Felicity Huang hold the second and third singles position. Doubles players Megan McLouglin, McKenzie McDowell, and Noelle Gregg return while new player Ava Hertlein makes her debut,
“We lead the TCC with the highest percentage of wins, holding a recored of 11-1,” Coach Senor says. Crawford, a stand-out her rookie year, continues to shine. She is currently undefeated in her regular season matches and placed second at the Gloucester County Open. Clearview’s doubles finished first and second in the county. “We are extremely proud of their accomplishment,” she continues. “We are looking forward to the playoffs and playing some very competitive tennis!”
