Penn HS cross country teams take first and second at IHSAA Regional Championships

MISHAWAKA, Ind. — Both the girls’ and boys’ Penn High School cross-country teams advanced to Semi-State after their mid-October performance at the IHSAA Regional Championships. The girls’ team came in first place with a team score of 33. The Kingsmen finished second at regionals, after clinching the victory at sectionals a week prior.

Mary Eubank placed 1st in the individual race, with a time of 18:50. Julia Economou placed 5th with a time of 19:22. Following in 7th place was Ellie Stabnik with 19:49. In 11th place was Arianna Balinnang with 20:04 and 12th was Anabelle Rebolloso with 20:05.

For the Kingsmen, Nick Probst finished 8th at 16:17. With only 5 seconds separating them, the 13th through 15th place finishers were Matthew Givens, Hudson Kaser, and Brandon Mueller. Will Mickelson finished 24th place with a time of 17:02.

Both Penn High School Cross-Country teams will race in the New Haven Semi-State on Saturday, October 22 at Indiana Wesleyan University.
