Danville HS football team plays hard in first round playoff game

Assistant Coach Mitch Thomas saw the plusses in the game, stating, “Our kids played a really good game Saturday. They played hard and never let up. We made a couple of mistakes on the way that we were not able to overcome. That can happen when you play good teams in the playoffs.”

After the game, Thomas had an unexpected visitor on the field. “After the game, one of the officials came up to me and let me know that he and the other members of his crew were praising our Danville Vikings for how hard they played and that they were among the most respectful teams they had worked with all year! Quite the complement to a bunch of kids that have been a lot of fun to work with. I will miss this Senior class.”
