AUSTIN, Texas (BVM) — The state of Texas has produced plenty of hardwood heroines over the years. WNBA greats like Teresa Weatherspoon, Brittney Griner, Nneka and Chiney Ogwumike and 2021 WNBA Draft No. 1 pick Charli Collier all played prep basketball in the Lone Star State. Not to mention recent high school graduates like Duncanville standout Deja Kelly who was an All-American honorable mention last season at North Carolina.
