Martin County HS football team wins thrilling game against Jensen Beach HS
STUART, Fla. — The game is never over till it’s over! That’s the mentality of Martin County’s varsity Football Team – a mentality that saw them take the win over the Jensen Beach Falcons with mere seconds left in the fourth quarter.
On November 3rd, the Tigers met the Falcons for an away game at Jensen Beach High School. In what turned out to be a game filled with highs and lows for both sides, the Tigers found themselves in the lead until giving up a touchdown to Jensen Beach late in the fourth quarter. Down by 1 point and with only 6.3 seconds left in the game, the Tigers showed everyone what a ferocious spirit and willingness to win can do! After a Jensen Beach kickoff, Tigers’ senior – Ricardo Weaver – picked up the ball and ran it for a game-winning touchdown!
The final score was 27-22, giving the Tigers a well-deserved push into the Regional Playoffs.
