2. AJ Johnson, G, Southern California Academy
Johnson is another departure from Donda Academy where he was set to play his senior season after averaging 16.7 points, 2.6 rebounds and 4.7 assists at Taft as a junior. The five-star combo guard initially burst onto the national scene after impressing at the Pangos All-American Festival and will now team up with Miranda at SoCal Academy. Johnson is a big guard (6-foot-5) with positional size, length and athleticism. He thrives in the open court with a tight handle and the innate ability to attack the rim and create for those around him. Johnson is uncommitted but the nation’s top-three guard has picked up offers from Kansas, Tennessee, Texas, USC and others.
