2. Cazzie Russell (1963-66)
Russell tallied a team–record 27.1 points a game. He slots at No. 5 in scoring (2,164) for U of M. The 6-foot-5 forward from Chicago is the most decorated Michigan basketball player of all time. He’s the only Wolverine with three All-American selections. That includes first team honors in 1965 and 1966. In his last season, Russell recorded 30.8 points per game and was named College Basketball Player of the Year.
