Northgate HS girls water polo team has first winning season in almost a decade
WALNUT CREEK, Calif. — As many know, this was a season of many firsts. My first year as head coach, first winning season in almost a decade, first league championship in the same scope of time. These achievements were in no way easy to obtain and required great sacrifice from every member of the team. I am humbled to see the dedication of each player and every member’s development as an athlete has left me awestruck. While the season is not yet finished, every player should take a moment to reflect on what their labors have manifested. It was clear from the very beginning that this team wanted to win, and they have.
