Urbana HS volleyball team advances to state championship
IJAMSVILLE, Md. — For only the second time in program history the Urbana Hawks Volleyball varsity team advanced to compete in the State Final Championship on 11/17/2022.
Led by head Coach Jerry Burge and Assistant Coach Shannon Veillette, the Hawks had a regular season record of 12-1. They went on to capture the 4A Regional Championship and continued to fight hard through playoffs to compete for the State Championship vs. the Arundel Wildcats. At the time of this writing the championship had not been played so keep an eye out for the State hardware in the Hawks Nest!
