7. Ricky Rubio, G

Rubio was taken No. 5 overall in the 2009 NBA Draft by the Timberwolves, just two spots ahead of Stephen Curry, and is near the top of many Timberwolves’ franchise records. As the first player born in the 1990s to be drafted by the NBA and the 10th Spanish NBA player, Rubio immediately found himself on the All-Rookie first team. The pass-first point guard spent six seasons in Minnesota and ranks second in both career assists (3,424) and steals (845) in franchise history. There was plenty of hype following Rubio over from Spain and even though he may have never lived up to it all, he’s one of the best Timberwolves ever.
