Every time NFL games were relocated in the Super Bowl Era

BUFFALO, N.Y. (BVM) – The weather in Buffalo is frightful so the NFL had to work an alternative plan for the Buffalo Bills‘ home game against the Cleveland Browns. Given the severity of the snowstorm in New York, the league made the decision to move the game to Ford Field in Detroit.
Due to public safety concerns and out of an abundance of caution in light of the ongoing weather emergency in western New York, Sunday's game against the Browns will be moved to Ford Field in Detroit.

With the way that Highmark Stadium filled with snow on Friday, the league’s choice seems to be a wise one.

While the move is surprising for NFL fans, it is not unprecedented. In fact, the Bills have already had to play a game at Ford Field due to a snowstorm previously. Though rare, NFL game relocations have occurred. Here is each game relocation since the start of the Super Bowl Era (1967).
