Lone Peak HS volleyball team wins state championship
HIGHLAND, Utah — With the Lone Peak Lady Knights having only three Seniors, and new coach, Paula Jardine, the beginning of the season started off a bit rougher than the Lady Knights would have liked. As the season went on, the young team had patience with each other to let their teammates come into their own. With a 26 win and 7 loss count, they were pretty excited to continue to advance in the state tournament.
The final game consisted of four sets. The lady knights dominated in set 1 with a score of 25-10 against the Mountain Ridge Sentinels. The Sentinels came back and beat the Knights by 3 points with a score 25-22 in set 2. In set 3, the knights rallied beating the Sentinels with a score of 25-22. And finally in set 4 Junior Knight, Zoey Burgess made the kill to clinch the score in at 25-15.
Congratulations to the Lady Knights Volleyball team on their third consecutive State Champions title!
